WHO: REVO LA

WHAT: REVO LA will heighten awareness of West Papua, Indonesia’s broken school system. The money raised by this event will help fund “Sekolah Dasar Balem Wamena” (SDBW), a model school, which has recently become a light of HOPE in the corrupt regions of West Papua.Through REVO LA, SDBW will be able to offer these children much better learning material, as well as provide them with larger teaching grounds, so even more students can attend.

FINAL ROOFTOP EVENT TOMORROW

Plays Well & Awaken are joining together to bring you the 3rd and FINAL concert in our Rooftop Sunset Series. Be sure to join us on Saturday September 12th for great bands, free food, redbull & great causes!

Music. Yoga. Nature. This grassroots festival in Lake Tahoe brings together some of the world’s top yoga teachers with some of the best performers in rock n’ roll. In addition to being one of the greenest festivals around, this new festival also supports charitable organizations. “Off The Mat and Into the World” was selected as the official charity, supporting change through personal empowerment and community collaboration. (2) There will be different non-profits present so that you can learn about different organizations and how you can get involved!

Ok everyone this is just a reminder that the Plays Well Acoustic House Show is TOMORROW! We added a few things to the afternoon and evening to make it even better. Looks like we’ll have face painting (you know you’ll want to do it after a few drinks), a photobooth, and maybe even a clown (whaaaaattt??)! So make sure you are telling all your friends to come out and spend Saturday with the Plays Well crew.

For those of you who are unsure what the party is for, let me inform you.It is to raise money to support Plays Well and How It Ends. How It Ends is an event that is being put on by Invisible Children, Resolve Uganda, and Enough to rescue the child soldiers and end the longest running War in Africa. For two days this summer, concerned citizens (and some high-profile cheerleaders) from every corner of the country will descend upon D.C. with one message: the time for peace is now, and this is how it ends. The program will include lobbying trainings, VIP speakers, a kick-off rally and will culminate in an unprecedented outpouring of activism on Capitol Hill, with hundreds of meetings taking place between Members of Congress and their constituents.

BANDIT GALLERY PRESENTS: THE RURAL ALBERTA ADVANTAGE

Recent Saddle Creek signees The Rural Alberta Advantage will be playing a free acoustic gig at Bandit Gallery in Echo Park THIS Sunday, May 17th, at 3:00 PM.  Bandit Gallery is located  at 1549 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90026.  Be sure to show up early and enjoy the exhibits!

Bandit Gallery is a new contemporary art gallery/outdoor event space in the heart of Echo Park. The gallery aspires to team up with some of the most influential art publications in order to bring in some of todays most talented contemporary artist. Bandit Gallery donates part of all proceeds to it’s non-profit, L.A. Village Recreation and Rehabilitation Center (LAVRRC).
