Electric Owls is former The Comas member Andy Herod, who has traded in fuzzed-out guitars for melodic pop while his former band is on hiatus.

“Ain’t Too Bright” was produced by Herod, and features The Coma’s Jason Caperton on guitar, Matt Gentling from Band Of Horses on bass, and Cully Symington from the Gutter Twins on drums, amongst others.

The band just finished up a tour opening for Bishop Allen and had their lead single “Magic Show” featured on a recent episode of Beverly Hills 90210. We’ll pretend you didn’t already know the last part. They are about to embark on a tour through Europe, until they return to the US check out “Ain’t Too Bright” from Vagrant Records, it’s on a fast track to our top ten list for 2009.
