Dave Barnes on tour, partnering with Mocha Club for Africa relief!

Nashville singer-songwriter Dave Barnes is bringing the Mocha Club on tour with him this October and November as he opens up for former childhood-pop-stars-gone-indie-pop-rock-respectables Hansen. His purpose with this partnership is to “provide Clean Water Wells for Darfur Refugees in Sudan”Mocha Club is a non-profit group that encourages people to give up two coffees (mochas) a month and donate $7 a month to their fund. This money provides direct relief and action with Africa projects in these major areas: HIV/AIDS, Orphan Care, Child Mothers, Sudan Regrowth, Education, and Job Creation. Along with Dave Barnes, his Nashville friend and often tour-mate, singer-songwriter Matt Wertz and the country-pop band Lady Antebellum are big supporters of Mocha Club and have also brought them on tour in the past. I signed up for the Mocha Club a  few years back at a Matt Wertz show and got a quite sweet Wertz American Apparel shirt for free; since then I have been getting their bi-monthly emails and have been very impressed

with their awesome activity! Check out on Dave Barnes on tour or check out Mocha Club’s website (www.mochaclub.org) and consider giving up $7 a month. In Africa, that money can feed one person for a month, or educate two children for a school term, or save one person’s life from malaria, or provide seven Africans with clean water for a year. That’s a lot for only $7 a month!
